No. All to often, a 'watertight' dog diaper means elastic bands, which can cause chafing as well as a greater chance of infection from sores. We have found a great fitting diaper with a pad to be the better all around solution for dogs to their dog urination problems. Li'l Britches dog diapers are designed to use a standard sanitary pad cut to fit the appropriate size.
For your convienence and cost effeciency, we also carry reusable pads.
Li'l Britches canine diapers should be hand or machine washable(gentle cycle). If machine washing, was in cold water with like colors.
Line drying is recommended to keep your Li'l Britches diapers looking like new!

- Measure distance around waist back as shown by red line in picture.
- If your dog is nervous about this process make sure to wait until the dog and you are calm, use treats as incentive for your dog to stand still, and enlist a friend to help by distracting the dog at his, or her, front while you place the measuring tape at the back.
- We suggest you purchase 2 belly bands to start: this gives you a spare diaper in the case of a messy accident!
